If a man turns up at a yoga class full of women, what do you/they think? I am thinking of joining a yoga class at my gym but am worried I will be labelled a perv or wierdo even though I have genuine reasons for going such as improving my flexibility/keeping fit/meeting new people. Do men/women do the same yoga exercises in classes? How does it work?
GAY!!!!!
noo don’t do yoga! work out and lift weights it would be weird. like join a tennis club or basketball team or something.
I think it’s a great idea for improving your body but personally I don’t like it when men come to my yoga class. The strange positions we get into just make me uncomfortable if men are around. It may just be me. We’ll see what your other answers are.
its hott!
And this is why America is so messed up.
I own a Pilates and yoga studio, and I would say that our yoga classes tend to have a large percentage of men participating. To date, I have had no complaints from female clients about having men in the classes. Also, in yoga, you should be focusing on you, not other people in the room. If you want to try it, do it… you’ll be glad you did.

I would think this guy wants to get fit and benefit from the different other aspects of yoga or he just has his reasons for it – that’s it. I went to lots of different Yoga classes over the years and yes, there are probably more women in the classes, but this is matter ? NO (I’m male as well).
Here we see the possibly pressure our society creates in relation to what people think we “can do” , “have to do”, “we can’t do”… the world is to divers to worry about stuff like this and by the way in India Yoga is nearly only done by men.
Go for it!
its cool actually, I had my doubts about it, being labeled a weird guy, but whats even funnier is that i’ve been called that so many times, its old to me, I don’t care… Turns out, i’ve meet some cool people…
