The umbrella, of course, is best known and utilized as a cover against the rain. While many consider it more of a nuisance to lug around, when they need it, they’re quite happy they brought it along. Perhaps it is better appreciated in the old U.K., the soggy, dreary climate of Scotland and England have made the umbrella not just a necessary accessory, but a part of the fashion scene. And the image of Mary Poppins flying above the streets of London with her magical umbrella is etched in everyone’s mind. Yes, the umbrella, as a prop in movies always seems to add mystery to a scene, whether it’s a couple meeting furtively under a hip bubble umbrella, or a private detective, snooping in the rain, smoking a cigarette under his sleek black umbrella.
Against the Sun Too
Not that it’s a new idea, but shielding oneself from the rays and heat of the sun was something done back in ancient times. It was usually a slave holding some sort of palms or some such other construct, that protected and comforted his master. And this is becoming more common, what with people’s concern about the harmful effects of the sun’s rays. The good thing about using the umbrella just for protection from the sun, is that it allows the user to be a little more fashionable, as in the case of a frilly parasol. Many
promotional umbrella companies have increased their stock of fashionable umbrellas, giving the consumer, a wide variety of sharp and hip styles to choose from.
Stay Healthy
The public’s concern with skin cancer has not been lost on the promotional umbrella industry. Nothing is as good for business as a pragmatic product that is inexpensive and provides critical service in several areas.
