Should women consume less iron in their daily diet due to menstruation? Are there certain risks if woman consume too much iron? Please explain. Any helpful websites would be great. Thanks!

    No, actually, iron is recommended for menstruating women because iron is lost through the blood. This is why women have a higher incidence of anemia than men. Yes, it is possible to have too much iron, but you won’t achieve that level of toxicity if you are eating a proper iron-filled diet or taking a daily supplement.

    Its kind of hard to consume to much iron. Maybe if you ate read meat every day for lunch and dinner and got more from supplements. And menstruating decreases the amount of iron. When i get my period i get tired and dizzy. So i make sure to get extra. If you eat a balanced diet you shouldn’t have a problem. If you need websites just search ‘iron consummation and menstruating’

    I have tried out every diet known to man but nothing worked as well as acai berry.
