I am very interested in starting yoga, and eventually getting into pilates. Can anyone suggest either the best kind fo yoga for a plus size person to start out with, or suggest a DVD/Tape??
I just recently got the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred yesterday and did it and damn near died. I am in so much pain in my legs especially so I am wondering am I suppose to do this everyday or every other day? Please let me know I will try and push through it just so I can get results ASAP. I have read "The pH Miracle" by Dr. Robert Young in which he claims that your blood is naturally alkaline (pH of 7.365) and that eating and drinking highly acidic foods (sweets, alcohol, coffee) lowers the pH of your blood and causes you to get fat because your body creates the fat in order to store the excess acid and thereby protect your body's organs from the excess acid. Has anyone had any experience with the process of keeping your blood more alkaline and losing weight as a result?
I am starting the South Beach Diet, and plan on exercising throughout to maximize my weight loss effort. However, I know that my body is going to feel very sluggish during the first 2 weeks as it is so adjusted to having an abundance of carbs. How critical is it to exercise during those first two weeks?

In the ad, the woman is complaining how easy it is for guys to lose weight. He stops drinking soda and loses weight. He walks around the block and loses weight. She doesn't lose an ounce. Then recommends the product for women to lose weight. Anyone know what product it is?
My mum does yoga but unfortunately her teacher is unable to hold classes for a few months. My mum would like to keep practicing with a DVD. Does anyone know of any good yoga DVDs which are suitable for mature women who are quite new to yoga?
i did a Jillian Michaels workout video today. it was called "Boost Your Metabolism" it was 45 minutes of cardio and weight training, but you used your body as the weight. is that effective? are her workouts good for toning?
And has anyone took steps to make it more alkali through diet and supplements? I just read PH Miracle book by Dr. Young. It all made sense and matched my health issues. Any safe alternative therapies for this condition?
