Fashion trends are about as transitory as the seasons. A certain style may suddenly pique everyone's interest and be all the rage for several weeks until a designer discovers and markets a different approach to a dress or handbag and instantly makes the previous fashion sorely dated. Ladies designer shoes are constantly undergoing fashion trends which tend to correlate with other clothing trends. This means that when certain clothing styles are no longer trendy, those shoes you bought to match that outfit are probably passe also! However, certain shoes can remain in style or at least wearable longer than distinctly designed shoes, such as plain black pumps or white canvas tennis shoes.
Professional Trends
Woman's professional shoes have generally remained dark-colored, low-heeled and comfortably fitting over the years. However, a recent trend has ladies' professional shoes appearing more feminine and less business-like. Designers are now enhancing these kinds of shoes with little but unique embellishments such as tiny rosettes, lacy edgings or ruffles which a women can choose to suit her personality. Women wearing stylishly pointy-toed business shoes are also being seen in the business arena, along with narrower heels that remain short but appear sleeker because of this narrowness. However, whatever kind of designer shoe a business woman decides to wear, comfort should always come first since these shoes will on their foot eight hours a day!
Night-Life Trends
Ladies designer shoes worn after dark to an evening hot spot can be anything from neon-colored laced up boots to black patent leather pumps sporting 7-inch diamond-encrusted spiky heels. Several shoe designers are not creating cuffed shoes that resemble those worn in the 1950's by the black-clad beatniks. However, these cuffs are adjustable so if this certain style is gone tomorrow, you can arrange the size of the cuff to suit some other trendy fashion look. Chunky high-heel "platform" shoes are currently in style also, which offer colors and patterns from red and white polka dots to purple and black sequins. Evening designer shoes tend to be more expensive than professional shoes because of the extras usually included with these attention-getting shoes.
Magazines such as Cosmopolitan will have all the latest news regarding designer shoe trends and which designer is currently the most popular fashion expert. Projections regarding seasonal trends are also discussed, as well as what is no longer fashionable.
